Today I visited a hot pot restaurant near Chung Yuan Christian University, and this is my second visit because this place really fills you up and is very generous. They have a lot of options at the self-service bar, and the hot pots are excellent. I highly recommend that anyone who loves small hot pots and is in the area must come try it out‼️
Let's start with their self-service bar. Plain rice is a staple, and they offer savory minced meat and curry, as well as meat floss on the side. Just eating these toppings, you can easily finish a bowl of rice!
The drinks area also has three machines to choose from: Nestlé beverages, a coffee machine, and a cola machine, so there’s definitely something you want to drink.
They also provide dessert fruits; you can find little cakes, mochi, and fresh apples there!
After your meal, you absolutely must have some ice cream 🍦. The ice cream machine at this place produces super creamy ice cream, with no grainy texture at all; it’s similar to the little cones from McDonald's (?).
I ordered the Spicy Milk Pot, which I always get every time I come here. The spicy milk has a rich milky aroma and a hint of spiciness, and everything cooked in it is super delicious! Especially when you add instant noodles, it transforms into a bowl of spicy milk noodles that you can find sold outside, and I would definitely buy it😍. The broth is really awesome!
The Shacha Pot is pretty fragrant too, and it's great with the side ingredients! However, this pot's broth is lighter, so I would recommend that if you have a strong palate and want to cook noodles, you should go for the milk-based pot!
