Students' Miscellaneous - What to Eat
Cheung Heung Yuen Tea Restaurant - Known as the Ancestor of Hong Kong Tea Restaurants
Located near the University of Hong Kong, in Kennedy Town.
★ Menu Items
Pineapple Bun with Sesame Paste - HK$32
(If you want to add iced lemon tea, it becomes HK$45)
But I only ordered the pineapple bun because I was in a hurry to catch a flight.
★ Thoughts
The sesame paste pineapple bun is quite rare in Taiwan, so I chose the sesame paste flavor. In Hong Kong, the pistachio trend has also taken off, and you can find pistachio-flavored snacks everywhere.
The pineapple bun at Cheung Heung Yuen is more to my liking compared to those at red tea restaurants.
I ate one half on the spot and took the other half to the airport.
By the time I got to the airport, the butter had disappeared,
but the outer crust of the bun remained crisp without getting soft over time.
★ Waiting Time:
5 minutes, can be eaten on-site or taken away.
If you take it away, the restaurant provides a container and wooden cutlery.
