[Shilin, Taipei] Wang Ting Chang Zha Jiang Noodles
Near the Jiantan MRT Station, there is a noodle shop that has been operating for many years. It has the feel of village-style noodles, with large portions. The wide noodles are exceptional, very chewy, and there's no taste of raw flour. The Zha Jiang Mian (fried sauce noodles) is the signature dish; it looks strong in flavor, but in reality, it is not spicy and slightly aromatic. It pairs well with side dishes.
I recommend ordering a bowl of "Tomato Beef Clear Soup." The acidity of the tomatoes is very fragrant.
The place has been newly renovated, and there are considerably fewer seats available. However, the waiting time isn’t too long, and ordering can be done through a QR code. They support LINEPAY.
✨ Personal recommendation:
◽ Shandong Zha Jiang Mian ✨ $90
◽ Fresh Tomato Thick Cut Beef Soup (more meat than noodles) $200
> The acidity of the tomatoes is very fragrant.
> There are three large pieces of super thick beef! But the center is a bit dry.
> I suggest ordering the ✨ "Tomato Beef Clear Soup" for only $40.
◽ Blanched Vegetables $40
◽ Braised Dishes
> Braised Egg $20, Daxi Tofu $35, Dried Bean Curd $40
> Pork Belly $70, King Oyster Mushroom $40
