Because of the 50% discount on steak sets offered three days before and after my birthday, and since I share the same birthday as my dad, I celebrated with my family.
The restaurant has a very American atmosphere, and the food presentation is relatively simple, so friends who prefer delicate dishes might want to reconsider. Each table is served with a complimentary long loaf of freshly baked bread, which can be refilled. The texture of the bread is very hearty and not like cheap dinner rolls.
As for the main dish, the steak, I believe the chefs did a great job with the cooking. The outer crust is almost fully cooked, slightly charred, while the juicy and sweet flavor of the beef is preserved inside. It doesn't give the impression of being undercooked or have a bloody taste. You can choose two sides from five options: fresh vegetables, fries, grilled rice, mashed potatoes, buttered corn, and American-style coleslaw. The drinks are served in a single cup, and you can refill as much as you like.
In terms of pricing, given the overall quality of the ingredients, it's a bit on the expensive side. If it weren't for the birthday discount, a good steak set would cost nearly 1500, and I might have chosen Wang Pin instead.
