Master Tang's shop is located on the most popular street of the island. In fact, there are only a few roads on Green Island, and it doesn't take much time to walk around. To be specific, after exiting the port and reaching the main road, if you walk a short distance to the left, you will see this store.
I must admit that although this shop sells many items and souvenirs, the only thing I ended up buying was bird's nest 😆. However, this store offered a lot of samples, so I got to try quite a few flavors and can offer a bit of evaluation. Moreover, the samples provided by this store were very generous, so I believe it is still a great option if you just want to buy souvenirs.
Bird's Nest Drink: It feels a bit like a jelly texture when you drink it, and it doesn't taste like kelp or seaweed, overall it's quite refreshing and has a good gelatinous quality. The rest is likely due to the store's own seasoning, like sugar and such. I think it's tasty, perfect for a refreshing drink on a hot summer day.
Scallion Braised Small Crabs: These are crunchy and hard little crabs, and the seasoning here is quite salty, so I wouldn't particularly recommend them. Additionally, I want to share a personal experience: I once ate this and didn't bite properly, which caused the little crab to get stuck in my throat and it hurt a lot. Be cautious when eating!
Deer Jerky: This can be considered a very ordinary flavor of jerky, with nothing particularly outstanding. However, they have managed to remove the gamey taste of the deer. Besides that, deer meat is much tougher than regular pork or beef, so if you enjoy a chewy texture, you might give it a try.
Seaweed Mochi: This is probably the signature dish of the shop. It does taste quite different from regular mochi; it doesn't have the sticky feeling of glutinous rice, but the seaweed itself doesn't really have a special flavor, so overall it was just average.
