This time to celebrate my birthday,
I especially found a restaurant with a view in Shanghai. This restaurant is located in a very inconspicuous building. Some of the internal floors are even fenced off under construction. The front entrance can only go to the Bund 333 hotel floor of what seems to be a related group. The counter directed us to other entrances. Only then did we find the correct door from the back of the building and take the elevator.
At the same time, there was another delivery boy who got lost with us, and the relevant signs were really unclear😓

The restaurant is located on the 26th floor. After going upstairs, I was surprised that there is such a beautiful restaurant in such a building. Could it be that the dilapidated environment in front and the twists and turns in the route are all to create a sense of surprise in the back? ?

We were seated around 18:30. It doesn’t get dark so quickly in Shanghai in the summer. This time is just right. We can see the Bund during the day and at night. We have a panoramic view of Lujiazui, and we can also see the Waibaidu Bridge next to it. It’s really beautiful. ah! Invincible night view~
The night before, when I was walking downstairs with others on the Bund, I was thinking where on earth were the rich people watching the night view? Looking at this scenery now, I think this is where it is!

The waiter's service was very good. He immediately brought us the menu and we were waiting for our order. After looking at our menu for a long time, we still had no idea. He immediately and kindly recommended that we check out Dianping (yes, it's Dianping) for some more cost-effective set meals. You can purchase it directly above.

Both of them ordered sparkling wine. They didn't know much about wine. There were too many types of red wine and they couldn't taste anything. It was safest to order sparkling wine, which was pretty good.

The dishes are described in detail in the pictures. Overall, they are quite delicious. However, I think the food presentation, environment, and night view of the restaurant are more outstanding than the food itself. Maybe because it is considered high-end Western food, the relative expectations will be higher.

Most of the diners were couples celebrating, and there were also a few tables for company dinners. It is highly recommended to dine here. You can comfortably enjoy the night view of the Bund. The overall experience is very good. I give it four stars🌟.

pre-dinner bread It was served lukewarm and tasted pretty good. Personally, I thought it was a bit unpopular, but my teammates liked it very much.
The butter that goes with the bread has a smooth and beautiful surface, and the container is also very special, making it overall pleasing to the eye.
The bread was soft before the meal.
Dalian scallops with sturgeon caviar and passion fruit orange juice The colorful ones are not very pretty, but they are delicious. They are not too sour and are an appetizer.
Tender Grilled Octopus with Garlic Mayonnaise The clerk helped cut it into small pieces for this dish. I was originally looking forward to this dish the most, but it turned out to be a bit disappointing. The octopus legs will be watery after being cut, and the roasting time is not enough. The meat itself feels unseasoned and tastes very bland, and it is a pity that it does not taste very chewy.
Morel Beef Consommé The ingredients will be delivered first, and then the soup will be heated for you to cook the beef slices. The clear soup is very fresh and refreshing, and the beef slices are also very tender and delicious. I finished it in one go.
The lamb belly is stuffed with shrimp paste, and it tastes like ordinary shrimp paste😆
Steak Wellington The outer puff pastry is wrapped with black truffle foie gras and steak. Personally, I don’t quite understand this combination 😂 The black truffle and foie gras really stole the show, and I couldn't taste the taste of the steak. I ate the three together until I was almost finished and finally gave up on eating them separately. I finally tasted its deliciousness! ! The puff pastry is delicious with black truffle foie gras. The foie gras flavor is very rich and the offal taste is a bit stronger. I personally can accept it. The black truffle aroma and puff pastry are perfect to eat together. The steak is grilled so tender that you can taste its original flavor when eaten alone. If you are like me and don’t understand how to eat, you can try eating it in a different way.
Fried vegetables The stir-fried seasonal vegetables with pine nuts and almond slices were soft and tender, not bad.
Molecular gastronomy hot spring egg with Spanish ham and sauteed mushrooms with black truffle I don’t quite understand the bubbles🫧, but the hot spring eggs are delicious and have a different texture when paired with fried mushrooms and ham. I like this dish.
Chef’s Dessert: Mango Mousse Cake The acidity of the mango mousse is acceptable, and paired with the fresh cream below, it looks good and delicious overall.
Raspberry mousse cake (gift for birthday) The outside is chocolate chips that taste cheap, and the inside is raspberry jam mousse with sponge cake. The raspberry jam is very sour, and I didn’t finish it in the end. I didn’t like it very much. It just looks good in photos.
