The brand under the Vtown Group, Shi Shi Xiang, has arrived in Pingtung! It's located on the fifth floor of the Global Mall and is the first Shi Shi Xiang in Pingtung. It's very new and everyone wants to give it a try, so business is good even on weekdays.
The decor mainly uses orange, creating a bright and simple space, but the seating is quite cramped and the tables are very close together. The four-person tables are also somewhat small, so if you order a meal for four people, there might not be enough space for all the dishes.
This time, we ordered five dishes and one soup, and four adults were very full. They offer three choices of rice, all of which are delicious and have unlimited servings. Out of the five dishes we ordered, four were sweet, even sweeter than the sweetness of Tainan dishes. It goes well with rice, but after a while, it becomes overwhelming. The portions of the dishes are quite large, but the soup costs 420 and was surprisingly small when served. It was gone after everyone had one small bowl.
We're not sure whether we didn't order well or if it truly didn't suit our tastes (friends at the table also felt the taste was a bit different from other branches). If you usually like sweet food, you'd probably really enjoy it.
