Oyster chowder is probably one of my favorite Taiwanese snacks. Every time I pass by a vendor selling oyster chowder, I can’t help but buy one.
When we were wandering around Zhenlan Palace in Dajia, we saw this traditional fried food shop, selling vegetable cakes, meat cakes, oyster cakes (actually commonly known as oyster cakes), and one called eggplant stuffed meat. The items are so special ~ and they also sell oyster omelette!
ps. However, this place is all takeout and there are no inside seats.
Oyster Cake $35
The price is quite cheap, but it is also relatively small, about the size of a girl’s fist.
The flour crust is thicker and has a bready texture, like the texture and taste of fried twins.
The filling is just simple oysters, green onions and one or two bean sprouts (maybe they were put in accidentally😂). There are about 3.4 oysters, which are large and plump. You can taste the fresh seafood.
But the taste of the whole oyster cake is a bit lighter and the salty flavor is not enough.
Overall, I think the taste is not on my list of delicious oysters, but it is still a good fried snack and the price is not expensive. If you want to eat fried food nearby, you can buy it and try it.
