Lin Yue Bing shop is located on Zhongshan Road in Guanxi Township, Hsinchu, right next to the Guanxi Township Farmers' Association, and nearby is the famous Angu noodles. It's a pretty bustling area in the town center of Guanxi.
Today, I enjoyed chocolate tofu pudding ice, crispy grape ice, and herbal jelly, totaling 130 NT dollars.
Chocolate Tofu Pudding Ice:
Tofu pudding is the shop's signature item, with soft and creamy tofu pudding that adds chocolate flavor, along with ingredients like job's tears in the icy treat. Tofu pudding is not a tofu product; it is more like a pudding or custard.
Crispy Grape Ice:
I initially wanted to have crispy grape mango ice, but the mango was sold out, so I opted for this instead. The cornflakes paired with grape flavored coconut jelly, topped with a few small marshmallows, truly makes for a creative icy dessert. The cornflakes surprisingly complement the ice quite well.
Herbal Jelly:
The texture is incredibly smooth. Guanxi is well-known for its herbal jelly, and of course, the herbal jelly from its origin is super delicious!
Overall, it’s a simple, affordable, and tasty summer ice shop. The business is run by an elderly couple who retired from public service, and they take a break from October to May each year. Whenever I pass through Guanxi during opening hours, I make sure to stop by to taste their offerings.
Highly recommended for everyone!
