This old-fashioned shaved ice shop in Pingtung adopts a self-service style, allowing customers to freely mix their favorite ingredients before weighing and checking out.
My favorite ingredients are their beans, like soybeans and mung beans, which are cooked to a smooth consistency that melts in your mouth. The peanuts are also a must-try; when you take a bite, the rich peanut aroma is reminiscent of the peanut canned goods from Ai Zhi Wei, and I love it.
However, today's tangyuan had a bit of a problem, as it oddly carried a strange onion taste. The flavor of the rice cake seemed somewhat off, compared to what I had eaten before, it lacked the original chewiness and sweetness, which is a bit disappointing.
This shaved ice shop offers a wide variety of selections, especially since the quality of the beans and peanuts remains consistent. However, the quality of some ingredients can occasionally vary, so I hope when I visit next time, they can restore their previous standards.
