One of the most famous old barbecue restaurants in Xia Xinzhuang, I have been eating there for nearly twenty years.
It was formerly called Xiangcheng Roast Meat. After the proprietress retired, the apprentice took over the business and changed its name to Hong Kong Roast Meat.

What I enjoyed today was the three-pig rice, which was not on the menu. The price was 135.
I've eaten all the way from 90 yuan to now. To be honest, I'm really impressed.

Sanzhu rice: For example, the store’s Sanzhu rice is barbecued pork, roasted pork and roasted duck.
Three Pig Rice consists of barbecued pork, roasted pork and pig trotters. As the name suggests, the three parts are all from pork, and the meat is cut very thickly.

The barbecued pork is thick but tender and juicy, and the meat is delicious when you bite into it.
The amount of cuts is also quite large, which is satisfying.

The roasted pork cannot be ignored, its crispy skin is very crispy.
The meat is juicy and tastes very good, and the meat is also very thick.
The roasted pork has a fixed cooking time every day. You can only eat it after 1230 at noon, and it seems to be after 1730 at night.

Tied Hoof is a very rare Kung Fu dish.
Having eaten all over Taipei, I have only seen one shop selling it in Nanmen Market.
The texture of Tie Ho is very special, with a chewy outer skin, rich meat flavor but a very refreshing taste.
This Kung Fu dish alone keeps me coming back again and again.

Of course, tea is served in the store, and there is also a self-serve soup that changes every day.

Overall, I think it is well-deserved as the best barbecue restaurant in Xia Xinzhuang.
I know that the store has been in a bit of trouble recently, but I can never let go of the taste that I have enjoyed for decades.
