La 16 Speakeasy

This bar is hidden inside the hotel restaurant. Usually, when we go for breakfast in the morning, we don’t really notice the large bar door next to it, which looks more like a decorative wall. We only discovered this hidden bar when we checked in and received a complimentary cocktail as a member! If you want to go for drinks in advance, you need to make a reservation at the front desk or call the bar yourself; otherwise, there won’t be any seats available!

When we went that day, the staff led us into the bar, and we were surprised to find out that the place we walked by every day was this hidden bar. The staff was very enthusiastic and handed us over to the bartender inside. If you stay at the hotel, you’ll receive two free margaritas, which have the same base spirit, but you can choose different flavors!

We chose:
❤️ Mango Margarita and Chili Seed Margarita.
It’s quite hard to find mangoes like this in Mexico, and although they aren’t as juicy as Taiwanese mangoes, their mangoes are sweet and aromatic enough. When drunk in the margarita, it feels like a sweet and fragrant juice, but the alcohol content is generous. After all, Mexico is the birthplace of tequila, so mixing a decent margarita is no problem for them! The chili seed part is also quite special; you can indeed taste a bit of Mexican chili flavor, but it’s not like drinking chili itself; instead, it carries the aroma of Mexican chilies with a slight tingling sensation on the tongue!

My friend's drink was also a very famous local cocktail. This bar is skilled in mixing drinks with a bit of a smoky flavor, just like the other drink in the photo. It seems simple, but when you actually drink it, it has a mature taste. If you’re staying or playing nearby, you can consider stopping by for a drink to try!
