🚩 Originating from a century-old tea factory in Nantou: One kilogram of tea worth thousands

TEATOP was established in 2006, and their official website mentions that their tea is supplied by a century-old tea factory, Changshun Tea Industry from Nantou, founded in 1907.

The TEATOP Yanji store is located on Yanji Street in the Eastern District of Taipei City. The nearest MRT station is Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, exit number 2, which is about a 7-minute walk. The Yanji branch had its grand opening on 2024/09/30, making it a very new branch.

Even though it just opened, the staff seems quite experienced, particularly a cute young lady 🥰 whose service attitude is excellent. After placing your order verbally at the counter, you can pay using cash or various payment methods, and receipts can be issued with a vehicle pass 🉑.

Under the arcade of the store, there's a large, space-occupying hand-shaken drink model, with the pearls looking very bouncy 😆. The store displays the top 10 drinks ranking, and I ordered the top-ranked green tea 3Q, as I habitually choose no sugar. Although unsweetened, the added ingredients (pearls, nata de coco, tea jelly) naturally add sweetness since the pearls are boiled in sugar water. The tea soup tastes smooth without bitterness, though there's no lingering aftertaste. Ingredients wise: the pearls are fresh and chewy, the nata de coco is sweet, and the tea jelly is somewhat less noticeable. For the price of $50, I think its performance is just average.
