This time, I had a drink from a small beverage shop located around Chenggong High School. I checked online and it seems there used to be a shop in the Da'an area, but it has already closed down. This is a new shop recommended by a colleague!
I tried their Sun Moon Lake black tea and opted for less sugar with just a bit of crushed ice.
Overall, I felt it was not very sweet personally; friends who enjoy sweet drinks might want to order full sugar instead. As for the crushed ice, there was really only a little bit, which was quite considerate (?)
The black tea itself tasted pretty much the same as the Sun Moon Lake black tea from other places, with nothing particularly impressive. However, the aftertaste lingered in my mouth for quite a while, giving a mild flavor reminiscent of traditional black tea. Nevertheless, at 40 NT dollars for one cup, I felt the price was a bit high; but since there are a few beverage shops in this area, trying out new flavors once in a while isn't too bad.
I've heard that their fresh milk tea is also quite good; my colleague ordered it and thought it was nice, but it shouldn't be ordered too sweet. I recommend this as a new beverage option for office workers around Shandao Temple.
