When you come to Dazaifu, you must definitely eat the famous specialty here - Umee mochi. Ume mochi actually has nothing to do with plums. It is stuffed with red beans. About 2/3 of the shops on the entire Omotesando sell ume branch mochi. People on the street Also one per person
Coming out of Nishitetsu Tenzaifu Station, the road to the right is Omotesando. When I did my homework, I saw that netizens said that the plum mochi here all taste the same and the price is the same, so we just bought it when we saw one.
This "Manya" is the first store on the right hand side of the Omotesando entrance. One plum cake is ¥150.
Actually, I didn’t have any expectations for the plum cake at first. I thought it would be weird to just come here and not buy one to eat, but after eating it, I was amazed!
The outer crust is baked so crispy that it tastes a bit like the crust of a baked rice cake, with the aroma of rice; the red bean paste inside is not very filling, but I just like it. Too much can be stressful (because We like red beans very much) and the taste is not too sweet
Overall, I highly recommend the plum pancake. I haven’t tried the plum pancake from other restaurants, so I can’t comment on whether this one is better than the others. However, I think this one is delicious. If you don’t want to queue up, If so, I recommend you buy it directly from here!
