Hidden in the alleys near Taipei Main Station and 228 Park, Hot and Sour Noodles is a place you rarely pass by. I had eaten Jin Xiang Yu at Xinyi Anhe Station before and thought it was quite delicious, so I discovered CNR. It’s open nearby, so I came over to eat right away~
Red oil noodles $150
There are actually as many as 10 fried hands, which is very sincere. The size of the fried hands is just enough to fit in one mouthful. It tastes like the kind with a thicker skin and you can taste the flour. It is not the kind of fried hands that will be mushy after cooking.
I ordered slightly spicy. For people like me who like a little spicy but can't really eat spicy food, the spiciness was just right. It was mainly just numbing, and it was a comfortable numbing.
The flour usually used for hot and sour noodles is too slippery for me, so I prefer ordinary noodles. It just so happens that this red oil hand noodles are made of ordinary noodles. The softness and hardness are just right. I like it very much because it is delicious. On the contrary, I feel like the noodles given are a bit insufficient.
I really added a lot of spicy oil. After eating, I found that the bottom of the bowl was filled with oil. The heat must be quite amazing.
Overall, I think the noodles are delicious and I will definitely continue to repurchase them. I originally wanted to give them five stars, but the price is really expensive and inflation is scary, so I deducted one star.
