### Taichung’s famous mushroom soup

This time when I was passing by Green River, I saw this familiar sign - Chuan Taichung Zheng's old-fashioned mushroom soup. I have seen this shop before, next to the Zongda Passenger Terminal. It turned out that the shop was closed due to the retirement of the owner. Now that I see it again here, it is really emotional. Although the price is a little more expensive than I thought, it is understandable considering the increase in prices. This time I ordered a braised pork rice, pork soup, braised cabbage head and braised bean curd.

### 🍚 Pork Rice - $55
The braised pork in this braised pork rice is lighter in color and not the type with a strong sauce flavor. The flavor is mild, but the meat is very tender. Although the marinade was lightly seasoned, it was exactly the familiar flavor I remembered. The side dish is only a piece of pickled cucumber, the portion is small, and the price-performance ratio is average, but to me, it has a familiar taste.

The broth of the meat soup is sweet, with shredded bamboo shoots and shiitake mushrooms as ingredients, and the soup is very thick. The meat soup itself has a solid texture, and you can taste the texture of lean meat, rather than the kind of meat soup that is mainly made of fish paste.

### 🍢 Braised Cabbage Head - $10 and Braised Bean Curd - $15
The seasoning of these two braised dishes is also relatively light. The braised cabbage head melted in your mouth. It was obviously braised for a long time but not too salty. The braised bean curd looks more like a bean bag, and the braised tofu skin is also lighter, and the overall taste is quite good.

Overall, the price/performance ratio of this store is pretty good, especially for those who like lighter flavors. The braised cabbage heads and braised bean curd skin both taste good. Although the meat soup is sweeter and thicker, these are all matters of personal preference. For me, it's more about eating a memory. If you pass by here, this store is a good choice, especially for those who miss the old taste.
