I saw someone introducing this place before; it's famous for its strawberry bread during the strawberry season. Other breads looked quite good as well, so I saved it as a favorite. When I thought of buying bread, I found this list and decided to try it for takeaway.
▪️ Pistachio Mousse $70
· Pistachio buttercream, walnuts ·
Recently, there's been a lot of buzz about pistachios, and I hesitated for a long time before deciding to buy this (not particularly fond of pistachios). The bread has an upscale chewy feel! There’s quite a bit of walnuts, which at first felt like they masked the pistachio flavor, but later on, the mousse flavor came through, and I quite liked it.
▪️ Sea Salt Butter Croissant $40 (three for $100)
I've been really enjoying these salty croissants lately. This place has a good price, and each one is plump and super cute 🥹. They smell great after being baked, with a simple flavor that's not too greasy. Although it seems to lack a bit of buttery aroma, it's still not bad.
▪️ Crème $45 (homemade fresh milk custard)
To be honest, after bringing this home, I kept wondering why I bought it... There were so many other breads on display that looked incredibly delicious 😂. Perhaps it was because it was freshly out of the oven when I was selecting the breads, and I couldn't resist its cuteness. It tastes quite standard; the custard is very similar to the style of wheel cakes, and the sweetness is low – I personally felt it lacked a bit of joy (?)
Overall, I really like the style of this place! They also have seating for dining in, so you can order a drink and some bread to enjoy right there. There are plenty of bread options, leaning towards Japanese styles, and each one looks really tasty. I’d like to dine in sometime or come back for more takeaway bread. 🥖
