This time in Taichung, you must take away the only dessert, the one-star MINIMAL ice cream 🍦. I arrived around two o'clock, there was a small line, but I was able to get my ice cream in about 15 minutes!
The daily menu is different, and while queuing, you can scan the QR code to check today's items. However, I should remind you that if you arrive too late, some gelato flavors may sell out~ Soon after I placed my order, one flavor was already sold out!
One cup with two flavors for $180
Today's selected flavors:
Sorbet - Sorghum | Lychee | Green Plum
The moment you taste it, it’s refreshing and gentle, completely devoid of the expected choking spiciness, yet you can distinctly feel the presence of sorghum, followed by the rich fruit aroma of lychee, and the faint sweet-sourness of green plum, all in harmonious combination. Overall, this flavor has a very high acceptance rate!
Gelato - Vanilla | Magnolia | Caramel
At first bite, you feel the brightness of vanilla and the deep bittersweetness of caramel; although it's gelato, it’s not heavy or cloying. Upon closer tasting, the presence of magnolia is significant, bridging vanilla and caramel, with a subtle floral aroma enhancing the layers of flavor. I really loved it! Unfortunately, this flavor sold out, but I was glad to have tried it!
Sorbet - Grape | Sour Plum | Almond
This was the only flavor that didn’t suit my taste this time, but it was still very interesting! Each of the three flavors can be distinctly identified, but overall it is quite sweet, with a strong grape flavor, coupled with an almond aftertaste that feels a bit disjointed to me. However, enjoying the ice brings its own kind of joy, which is pretty impressive!
Gelato - Rum | Longan | Honey
I don’t particularly like longan but decided to give it a try, and I was unexpectedly amazed! The nutty aroma blends beautifully with the familiar rum, a slightly bitter fragrance spreads across the tongue, and the honey is unobtrusive yet effective, with a subtle sweetness lingering in the aftertaste. It’s a flavor that is very understandable yet has depth.
I would definitely be willing to visit again, looking forward to trying more different flavors! This time, there were 4 types of sorbet and 2 types of gelato to choose from; if you like gelato, be sure to go early!
