Chicken hot pot is a specialty delicacy in Fukuoka. There are many restaurants that specialize in hot pot. The century-old "Hakata Kawei Bird" has many branches in Fukuoka. There is one just a 2-minute walk from our hotel, so we decided to check it out. after all!
p.s. It seems that there used to be a branch in Taiwan, but it later closed down.

Set menu prices range from ¥3500 to ¥7500 (ps, you can ask the clerk for a Chinese menu!)
Both of us chose the "Hua Banquet Set" marked "Specially Recommended by the Boss" on the menu for ¥5,000
It includes: side dishes, 3 appetizers, a platter of raw chicken, ham and pan-fried chicken, alternative dishes, boiled Chinese chicken and dessert. It is a complete set meal

Although a set meal costing ¥5,000 per person seems not cheap, the portion is very filling and the taste is satisfying. You can tell that the ingredients used in the store are very good (I heard that even the chickens are raised by themselves) ), you can taste the original flavor of the ingredients without adding any additional seasoning.
In short, if you are traveling to Fukuoka, it is recommended to arrange a meal to eat chicken hot pot~

Side dishes It's a cold dish that looks a bit like kelp. To be honest, I can't understand it.

3 appetizers The presentation is very beautiful, each side dish is in a portion that can be eaten in one bite, and they are all quite delicious.

Raw chicken, ham and pan-fried chicken platter I have never eaten raw chicken in Taiwan, and my first impression was pretty good. The chicken itself is already salty, and it can also be dipped in yuzu pepper or orange vinegar. Although raw chicken is very special, I think pan-fried chicken is more delicious. The aroma of burning is very charming, highly recommended

Alternative dishes It smells like lemongrass, and contains bamboo shoots, kelp and a piece of meat wrapped in bean skin (?). In short, there is nothing memorable about it.

The highlight is coming~~~ The waiter first served us a bowl of chicken soup.

Boiled Chinese Chicken The waiter will serve us at the table and help us order chicken cubes, chicken pulp balls, chicken livers, vegetable platters, and glass noodles. The conclusion is that it is very delicious! The chicken has been cooked for a long time and is still super soft and tender; I don’t usually like to eat offal, but the chicken liver is delicious; the glass noodles and orange vinegar go together perfectly~

After eating the ingredients just now, there is the second highlight: mixed cooking! You can choose white rice or noodles, we chose white rice

The clerk helped us cook rice with egg liquid to make porridge

The egg drop chicken soup porridge is paired with their homemade pickles and mentaiko (it feels like mentaiko with sauerkraut). It is simple and delicious. Serving this bowl of porridge at the end really makes you feel super happy~

dessert Today we had brown sugar pudding with sugar-free hot tea. The brown sugar has a little bitter taste, and the pudding almost melts in your mouth. It seems ordinary, but it gave us a perfect end to the meal!
