Tainan beef soup really offers a wide variety of choices. The restaurant I originally wanted to go to was closed for the day due to a water outage (was I too lucky?), so after some twists and turns, I found this hot pot place specializing in fresh beef.
The environment is simple, bright, and fairly clean. The owner looked a bit serious at first, but after asking about the beef, he engaged in a serious conversation with us and became quite friendly. The beef hot pot had a clear broth that tasted sweet from the vegetables and fruits, which I found quite refreshing. It comes with a plate of beef and a side dish; we added a beef platter. Except for one cut that was a bit tough and not to my liking, the others were pretty good. The handmade beef balls were rich in flavor and quite tasty. My friend really liked the crown daisy; they thought it was delicious. The pork minced rice was too fatty for my taste and the flavor was a bit too light for my liking. A variety of dipping sauces are provided for you to mix yourself, and you can also add broth. Overall, the flavors are quite refreshing.
As for parking, there are roadside parking spaces nearby. There are no mid-meal breaks at the restaurant, so if you're not going during peak dining hours and want to try fresh beef hot pot, you should check it out.
