🍜 Kaohsiung Zuoying ▫️ Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Zuoying Store
🍜 A ramen shop in the department store food court without any memorable points
Located on the second basement level of the Zuoxin food court, this ramen shop has a striking sign that catches your eye 🐯. The restaurant specializes in Japanese ramen, with a rich variety on the menu that initially raises expectations. However, the ramen we ordered this time was somewhat disappointing 🥲.
➰ Special Chashu Ramen 𝟏𝟖𝟖
The ingredients in the ramen bowl are fairly standard: Chashu, bamboo shoots, and fish cake are all present 🍥. However, the thickness of the chashu was a surprise; it was a thin slice that didn't provide enough satisfaction. The noodles had a moderately good texture and bite, but the broth, which is what I value most, seemed a bit thin. Although it wasn't difficult to finish, it also didn't have a memorable flavor.
Overall, this is a competent but budget ramen dish. It's suitable when you don't know what to eat and just want something to fill your stomach. If you're just looking for a place to pass the time, the department store food court is certainly a good option. However, the flavors of this ramen shop are not compelling enough to make me want to return; there are many other shops selling similar items to choose from 🍜.
