Dining Time: 2025/02/28
Today, I went to Xinchao Restaurant on the 2nd floor of Breeze Xinyi, which is a restaurant in the same series as Yongxin Feng Tea. It has also been recommended by the Michelin Bib Gourmand and 500 Plates, so I was super excited for this meal!
This time I ordered:
⭐️ Tomato Crystal Sweet Shrimp 💰320
It's a sour and sweet appetizer featuring various colors of cherry tomatoes, fresh sweet shrimp (raw) and sweet and sour jelly. It was really appetizing.
⭐️ Grilled Scallop and Tobiko Fried Rice 💰560
The fried rice is indeed the restaurant's signature dish. The purple rice is due to the addition of dragon fruit, sprinkled with tobiiko and grilled scallops. It tasted savory and distinct, making you want to keep eating.
⭐️ Kung Fu Fragrant Chicken Soup 💰300
I saw it served in a teapot and thought it was novel, so I ordered it to try. It came in a very hot teapot, so be careful when holding it. It really had a rich and fragrant taste, like chicken essence. Besides the melt-in-your-mouth chicken, there were also mushrooms and shredded scallops inside. But this dish must be consumed hot; it would be terrible when cold (laughs).
⭐️ Sour Pickled Cabbage with Beef Short Ribs 💰520
The pickled cabbage wasn't very sour; just a little sourness heightened the appetite, paired with tender beef short ribs. So it was a great dish to have with rice, even though I had already eaten fried rice, I still wanted to order a bowl of white rice to go with it.
⭐️ Apple Osmanthus Oolong 💰180
The refreshing fragrance of osmanthus oolong combined with sweet apple juice made for a delicious combination!
⭐️ Signature Green Bean Paste Tiramisu 💰220
I didn’t expect green bean paste to go well with tiramisu. It was refreshing and not overly sweet. Highly recommended!
In summary, it's a restaurant with delicious creative Taiwanese dishes. There are still many dishes I want to try. If I have the chance next time, I would definitely like to come back to try other dishes!
