Taitung has several well-known pork chop restaurants, but only this one offers bento options, and the prices are very competitive! The difference between the dine-in and takeout set meal prices can be as much as 60-70 NT dollars, making it a great choice to take home.
Due to work obligations, I helped everyone order takeout bento. I chose the original flavor pork chop set meal, which comes with a pork chop bento, one meat, and three side dishes, along with some corn and shredded cabbage, and an extra soup. The pork chop is very thick, with a solid but tender texture, so there’s no feeling of being unable to chew. Moreover, the coating doesn’t overpower the meat juices, while still maintaining a crispy and juicy sensation. The side dishes are average; they are neither difficult to eat nor particularly good, but they are above average compared to typical bento shops.
The dining space for dine-in is not large, but you can serve yourself delicious, separate grains of white rice and soup. Perhaps because of this, the restaurant uses promotional pricing to attract customers to take out and enjoy their food.
