Tikos Seafood Restaurant

Tikos Seafood Restaurant, located by the Suva waterfront, is one of the most representative fine dining restaurants in Fiji. In the evening, the restaurant's lighting is soft, with a view of the gently rippling harbor outside, creating an elegant and romantic atmosphere. The guests here are noticeably more formal than in regular restaurants, with many wearing shirts, suits, and even some ladies dining in evening gowns.

This time, I ordered one of their signature dishes—Curry Crab. When it arrived at the table, it was bursting with aroma; the rich curry sauce had a golden, glossy sheen, and the crab portions were generous. The crab shells were cleverly cracked open, making it easy for diners to extract the meat. The flavor of the curry combined Indian spices with the aroma of coconut milk from the Pacific, mildly spicy yet warming, while the crab meat was fresh, sweet, and delicate—each bite soaked in the sauce was satisfying. It pairs perfectly with white rice or bread.

The service was also spot on. The waitstaff would occasionally come by to refill water or check if the meal was to our liking, with a friendly yet unobtrusive attitude. The overall pace of the dining experience was relaxed, with soft jazz playing in the background. While it is considered premium pricing by Fijian standards, in terms of the quality of the cuisine and the dining experience, it is truly worth the value. I highly recommend everyone to eat here.
