Hot summer weather calls for ice! 🔥
This time, I went to "Fresh Fruit Ice City" near Miaoli Yingcai Night Market.
As a Miaoli local, I couldn't help but notice that this place seems to have just opened recently. 🤣
So I decided to give it a try!
The dining environment inside the shop is quite spacious,
and there's air conditioning while enjoying ice,
which is very comfortable. 😌
Inside, you can choose between shaved ice 🍧 and snowflake ice ❄️.
I think the prices are fairly reasonable,
and it seems like one bowl is good for about 1-2 people.
This time, the three of us shared two bowls,
which was just fine. ☺️
Mixed Snowflake Ice (choose 3 toppings)
This one is $80.
You can choose any three toppings.
For the snowflake ice, I chose milk tea snowflake ice—
I picked soybeans, taro balls, and taro. 🍡
The soybeans were average, but not overly sweet,
the taro could be a bit softer; still, it was okay.
I really enjoyed the taro balls. 😋
The chewiness was just right! There were also some plain ones. ☺️
I also liked the milk tea ice;
it wasn't too sweet and had a subtle milk tea aroma!
I think it was great without needing condensed milk.
Red Bean Milk Snowflake Ice
This one is also $80.
It contains red beans 🫘 and condensed milk paired with milk snowflake ice.
The combination of red beans and condensed milk is quite sweet,
and the milk ice is very smooth.
As I kept eating, I felt that
even though both are $80,
friends who want to enjoy condensed milk and red beans
might consider the mixed snowflake ice,
choosing condensed milk, red beans, and another topping
to add more variety. 🤣🤔
