Pingtung's local establishment, Aying Noodle Shop, has been operating for over fifty years. Located next to the Guangnan on Yongfu Road in a tin-roofed building, it holds a special place in the memories of many students. The shop is known for its affordable, large bowls of noodles that are served with a touch of warmth, making it quite famous in Pingtung.
I still remember in middle school, I would take a bus from the countryside to Pingtung city to shop, and Aying Noodle Shop was part of my childhood memories. A bowl of noodles that used to cost 25 NT dollars now costs 45 (for a super large bowl), yet it's still very cheap, truly a beacon for budget-conscious diners.
The sesame noodles are still as fragrant as ever; although they can be a bit dry, it doesn't affect the overall taste. You can also ask the owner for a bowl of clear soup to accompany it. When you finish the noodles and have leftover sauce, you pour the clear soup into it, and savor all the essence in one sip. It's delightful!
