The review mainly describes the Canadian snack "BeaverTails", which is a dessert made of fried dough. It has various flavors, and it mentions that the sweetness of the Avalanche flavor is balanced by the cheese sauce, making it crisp and delicious.

"Beaver Tail" is one of Canada's famous delicacies. It's a pastry made from fried dough, topped with powdered sugar, caramel, or cinnamon, and other various toppings. It's named after its shape, which resembles a beaver's 🦫 tail, but it has no actual relation to beavers 😆.
While strolling through the town of Banff, you often see tourists eating a long tail-shaped pastry on the street, and there are usually long lines outside the shop. A friend had told me to make sure to try this snack before my trip, but I always thought it was just another one of those extremely sweet desserts common in the US and Canada, so I was hesitant to try. But on my last day before leaving, I decided not to leave any regrets and went into the shop, thinking who knows when I’ll be back again.
There are many flavors of Beaver Tails to choose from, with 12 basic flavors, plus variations with ice cream. I chose the Avalanche, which was described as a cheesecake flavor. It seemed less sweet, and with cheese, it should have a bit of a savory taste, right? 😅
When I got my order, it was very hot and quite large. It was topped with white cheese sauce and caramel, sprinkled with some chocolate powder and peanuts. To be honest, I was still filled with doubt at first sight. But the moment I took a bite, the crispy texture of the crust shocked me! It was unexpectedly delicious!
The cheese sauce slightly neutralized the sweetness, making it more acceptable. While it was still hot, the two of us quickly finished it! It was quite tasty, but I think it’s something that needs to be eaten hot, and sharing it between two people is just right. I’m glad I tried it in the end, no regrets😆. When visiting Canada, make sure to try "Beaver Tail," this unique snack, if you have the chance!
