🎉Taichung’s Local Time-Honored Delicacies🎉

🎉Even locals line up to eat🎉

Whenever Taichung food comes up, this Nan-Tun pork knuckle noodle shop is frequently mentioned and recommended by friends👍 During meal times, there are quite a lot of residents, students, and office workers heading out to grab a bite. The shop has a nostalgic vibe, with its eye-catching green and white colors. As soon as it opens, customers flock in to taste the delicious food, and during holidays, it’s even busier, with the outdoor seating completely full and many people waiting in line for takeout 😵‍💫 It opens at 10:30, and when I arrived at 11:00, the place was already packed with waiting patrons 😵

For takeout, you line up to place your order, grab a number, and wait for your number to be called; for dine-in, you find your own seat, fill out the menu, and pay at the counter, and your food will be brought to your table😁

Nan-Tun Pork Knuckle Noodles:

The pork knuckle is prepared quite cleanly, topped with some shredded ginger, which complements it well. The pork knuckle is stewed to a very tender texture, making it easy to eat, and the fragrant Angelica soup base is very tasty, with a slightly sticky texture, but it is on the heavier side, so those who prefer lighter flavors may find it a bit salty 😆 The noodles are the red variety, which are more durable and have a better texture, and the portion is more than sufficient 👏

Duck Meat (dry):

The duck meat is also quite good, very fragrant, and paired with the shop's oil sauce and chili sauce, it offers a unique flavor. However, the duck can be a bit chewy, so those with weaker teeth might want to skip it 😆
