【Foodholic Naiko @ Lanyu】

"Milanshui" is a hidden café located in the Langdao village, a place that you typically wouldn’t pass by. However, there’s a blue sign outside the alley, so it’s not too hard to find~

I later discovered that "Milanshui" was just a food cart a few years ago, but it has now transformed into a space. The café area combines traditional Lanyu high houses, which is very unique. Upon entering, the first floor feels rather narrow, and after climbing the steep stairs to the second floor, you find a whole new world.

Upon entering the store, you need to take off your shoes. The seating area is located on the second floor, where customers sit cross-legged. There are not many seats, only about 4-5 tables.

Even though there were 2-3 groups of customers in the store, everyone communicated in low voices, making the whole space very quiet~

I heard that the desserts here are quite famous, but we were simply too full that day. Plus, we were about to take a boat, so we only ordered one savory dish for lunch.

Pesto Flying Fish Quiche $160
The quiche was quite large. The tart crust felt a bit dry and hard; I would have preferred it to be a bit flakier.
As for the filling, the fish flavor was quite strong. Personally, I found it slightly fishy, but my friend thought it was acceptable.
I originally hoped for a stronger pesto flavor, but both my friend and I felt we could hardly taste it.

Maybe because we didn't order any drinks that day, it felt a bit dry toward the end. I suggest everyone order a drink to enjoy with the food~

I really liked the atmosphere of the entire café. It was very quiet, and everyone could listen to music, read books, or enjoy their food. It’s a pity we didn’t have enough time this visit; I hope to have the opportunity to relax here properly next time.
