The tiger month cake crust is soft and fragrant, while the matcha cake has a slightly mild flavor; however, the red bean paste is well paired, sweet but not overly so. Overall, the texture is satisfying, but the price is relatively high.
I heard that there is a very famous pastry shop in Huwei, Yunlin, but aside from pastries, they also sell a limited item called Tiger Month Cake, which is actually somewhat like dorayaki.
This time I ordered the matcha Tiger Month Cake. Because it's made fresh upon order, the cake skin is very soft and also has a fragrant aroma. Inside, there is a piece of cold matcha cake, which is slightly lacking as the matcha flavor isn't very strong and is quite mild. Lastly, it also has some red bean paste, which is very nice; it has sweetness but isn't overly sweet.
Overall, it was quite delicious, but personally, I feel the price isn't exactly cheap.
