The traditional old-fashioned Danzi noodles have a light broth that is not overly salty, complemented by water spinach to enhance the taste. Highly recommended.
The restaurant is located in a townhouse, with tables set up in the arcade for dining. The atmosphere is simple and suitable for both dine-in and takeout.
The prices of the small dishes are transparent, and the ordering process is clear, but you need to pay attention to choosing the right shop.
🚩 Geographical Location 🧭
Located at the intersection of Jianzhijie and Dazhi Road in the East District of Taichung City, next to a Shopee store, and there’s a small eatery selling rice noodles and taro right next door that you definitely should not go to because it tastes terrible.
🪑 About the Overall Atmosphere 🎡
The stall is set up inside a multi-story building, and there are about six tables placed on the porch area. For dine-in or takeout, you first go to the stall to get a yellow menu, fill it out, and give it to the owner. The side dishes can also be selected inside and marked with your table number. The prices for the side dishes are very transparent, which is excellent.
💰 About the Pricing 💰
I originally wanted to order plain noodles, but they had sold out due to high demand, and almost all the side dishes were gone too. So, I ordered the $40 Danzi noodles soup instead.
🍴 About the Meal ☕
The noodles had a traditional flavor, not overly salty, and were very tasty. The broth was the kind you could drink all of, light and not overly salty. They served it with water spinach instead of chives, which is a big plus! I really dislike chives in my noodles.
🤨 Conclusion ♥
I sincerely urge everyone not to go to the wrong place!! The business varies greatly between the two, so just go to the one with more people; otherwise, you might end up like me and mistakenly eat at the wrong place, which was very disappointing. Liu Mama's is really delicious.
