📍Location: Bali, Indonesia
This scenic restaurant was recommended by the tour guide during our trip. It is located near the rice terraces, and most of the diners are tourists, making it a nice addition to your itinerary.
Today, the two of us ordered:
Bebek Tebasari (IDR 143,500, excluding tax)
This is Bali's classic dirty duck rice, which is essentially fried duck rice. The duck has a crispy skin and tender meat inside, which was better than expected. It looks quite simple, but that's pretty much how Indonesian cuisine is. Besides the tasty duck, everything else was mediocre; if you're curious about trying dirty duck rice, you can order it, but I probably won't order it a second time.
Mix Satay (IDR 127,500, excluding tax)
A combination of grilled chicken and fish satay with ten skewers in total. It’s topped with a peanut satay sauce. The satay was quite good, with the sauce being the highlight. The portion was a bit small, with around three small pieces of meat on each skewer, which isn’t enough for one person. However, since it was hot and we weren’t very hungry, the two of us managed to share this alongside the dirty duck rice.
Overall, the food was decent but not particularly impressive. If you're not in the mood for local cuisine, there are options like pasta, salads, pizza, and curry available as well.
Restaurant view > Taste of food.
I really liked the restaurant's scenery; the whole place is built of bamboo and thatch, and there's a fish pond nearby for aesthetic. The private booth seating, made of bamboo shaped like lanterns, is also quite unique and reflects the charm of the region.
The view from the restaurant overlooks beautiful rice fields filled with green rice plants; seeing this lovely scenery really lifts your spirits. I definitely recommend it; if you happen to be traveling nearby, consider dining here.
