Introduction
“Hou Bay Coffee” is located in the back bay fishing village of Checheng, Pingdong, with a sea view overlooking the Back Bay coast, making it a very popular Instagram-worthy coffee shop in Pingdong.

The Hou Bay Coffee building at the intersection is a two-story white structure without a parking lot; you can find parking nearby when driving. The interior is very minimalist, with seating available on both the first and second floors; however, the stairs are a very narrow spiral staircase. Upon reaching the second floor, you are greeted by a sweeping view of blue skies. The three-sided windows on the second floor offer unobstructed outdoor scenery, presenting a sense of beauty reminiscent of a Studio Ghibli scene.

The menu at Hou Bay Coffee features coffee, tea, floral teas, Japanese warabi mochi, grilled Japanese mochi, Japanese rice balls, dango, mini taiyaki, thick toast, and other Japanese snacks. After placing your order and paying, you will receive a call bell to wait for your order to be ready. If you sit on the second floor, there’s a delivery elevator, so you don’t have to go down to the first floor to pick it up; you still wait for the call bell.

The tea flavor is rich, and the roasted tea is very smooth; the key point is that the stirring stick is super cute, while the other cup features an adorable alien.

White is plain, pink is made with beetroot, and green is made with mugwort. The taste is really authentic; however, if you don’t like mugwort, it might taste like mosquito repellent 😂

I highly recommend this one! The dango is chewy, paired with seaweed and sweet soy sauce—it’s super tasty ❤️

Thoughts: Unlimited time gives it a solid 100, though if it's tourist season, there might not be a spot. Watching the sea view while relaxing in the air conditioning is truly blissful. Highly recommend!
