Kyoto meat croquettes are made with beef and potatoes, and their flavor is rather ordinary, lacking any particularly memorable aspects.
Nakamuraya Side Dish Factory is located on the streets of Arashiyama in Kyoto, where there are not many people, creating a comfortable atmosphere.
【Foodholic Nako @ Kyoto, Japan】
"Nakamuraya Delicatessen" is located in Arashiyama, Kyoto, not on the busiest main street, but in a side street where there are fewer crowds; when I visited this shop that day, there were completely no lines.
I bought the popular No. 2 Kyoto meat croquette, made with beef. The beef and potatoes are mixed together, not like eating a bun with whole pieces of meat; the filling tastes mushy, the seasoning is okay, but it's fairly standard and doesn't leave a significant impression.
P.S. While searching for food in Arashiyama, I found that you can eat Nakamuraya croquettes, so we directly used Google Maps to find our way there. However, after finishing, I discovered that there seems to be another Nakamuraya, and I'm not sure what the relationship between these two shops is; it could be a chain store, I guess?
