"I am still suitable for drinking the most classic cappuccino"
The first stop on your weight gain journey in Italy
Italy first arrived in Milan. Although we had already had breakfast on the plane, it would be unreasonable not to have a cup of coffee when we landed in Italy. I walked out of Milan Station at around 10 o'clock in the morning and randomly saw a coffee shop and went in.
"Caffè Napoli" is a chain coffee shop. I saw many branches. I originally planned to go to the one near the B&B, but when I saw that there happened to be a branch in Milan Station with a lot of seats, I decided to try this one instead.
We wanted to drink coffee from this restaurant because their coffee is made with hazelnuts and Nutella. We thought it was very special and wanted to drink it. We ordered Caffe Posillipo €3.9 and Caffe Mergellina €3.9
Let me start with the conclusion: Sure enough, don’t mess around. I originally just wanted to drink a cup of ordinary coffee with milk, but it turned out that it was more like a dessert?
Both cups are very small, about the size of Espresso. They are coffee shots that can be drank in two or three mouthfuls. Drinking them directly without stirring will result in a very bitter espresso. There is milk cream at the bottom, and it is paired with hazelnut spread and cocoa. The powder is very thick and sweet. It is not the coffee I originally wanted to drink. If I eat it with the mood of having dessert, I will not have wrong expectations.
Today’s experience is not to “cook it”. The Italians at other tables just ordered Cuppuccino, but it’s good to try it out.
We also ordered croissants for €1.8 and pistachio croissants for €2, both of which were quite delicious. The pistachio croissant was filled with pistachio jam, which was quite special. Unfortunately, their croissants were not re-baked, so they were cold. , it doesn’t taste so happy 😂
ps The photos I took of the food were completely missing for some reason... leading to the photos of the actual meals🥲🥲🥲
Caffe Posillipo is the cup in the middle of the upper row in the second photo, and Caffe Mergellina is the cup on the right in the bottom row of the same photo. They look the same as the photo, which is the size of an espresso cup.
For the croissant part, please refer to the one in the lower left corner of the fourth photo.
