"Duck Meat Ho" has been running a saltwater duck restaurant in Sanmin Market for over 60 years. Their signature dishes include duck rice and sliced duck, which attract many customers during meal times; it's a taste that fills you up.
Duck Meat Ho has a storefront with both indoor and outdoor seating, none of which has air conditioning. The indoor area features an open layout, while the outdoor space has a traditional arcade, which feels breezy during the hot summer days. Located on Jianguo 3rd Road in the Sanmin District, there are parking spaces available on the opposite side and a nearby parking lot, making parking convenient.
The menu at Duck Meat Ho includes:
Duck rice/noodles/vermicelli/glass noodles/flat noodles, sliced duck, Chinese medicinal duck soup, and side dishes.
Duck Rice 💰60
White rice is drizzled with duck fat, topped with diced duck and finely shredded bamboo shoots, resulting in a refreshing taste with a light duck oil aroma.
Duck Meat Glass Noodles 💰60
The broth appears oily but has a strong duck flavor when tasted. Overall, I think the duck rice is better than the duck glass noodles.
Duck Blood (Dry) 💰40
The duck blood has a herbal aroma from the Chinese angelica root, with a firm texture that is moist and sticky, which I personally do not prefer.
Sliced Duck 💰70
Duck Meat Ho's sliced duck has a mild salty flavor, but there are a bit too many bones, making the overall taste quite bland.
Personal Opinion: The flavor of Duck Meat Ho isn’t my favorite, but it is generally good.
