The chicken soup is rich and delicious, especially the truffle wild mushroom chicken soup and the brandy braised chicken soup. The main courses, snowflake beef and plum blossom pork, are satisfying, and the wave noodles do a great job of soaking up the soup. There is a wide variety of drink options, and the smoothies are sweet and tasty.

The environment is pleasant and suitable for enjoying hot pot on a cold day.

The service is acceptable, but you need to wait for seating. However, the soup base tasting design is considerate and thoughtful.

I had heard about Uncle Chicken Soup for a while, and that day a friend suddenly wanted to eat hot pot, so we thought of this place. When we arrived, we didn't see any staff, so we directly scanned the QR code to make a reservation. We waited for about 20 minutes before being seated.

Once seated, there were three small cups on the table, which turned out to be for tasting the soup base. I thought this was great since the flavor is what we would be eating throughout the meal. If it didn't meet our expectations, or if it was a flavor we didn't like, it would definitely feel like a waste of the other ingredients. I chose the seasonal limited truffle wild mushroom chicken soup, while my friend ordered the brandy braised chicken soup. The brandy braised chicken soup actually has a small cup of brandy that can be added; the spice flavor was quite strong. For the main course, we ordered snowflake beef and plum blossom pork, and they offered to exchange the vegetable platter for meat, which is a blessing for meat lovers. We also ordered bass and hand-sliced tender chicken breast.

I found the flavors of the chicken soup to be quite rich; it was nice to drink on its own and very different from the clear chicken soup I usually have. Later, I discovered that the soup base contained four pieces of chicken thigh, and combined with the hand-sliced tender chicken breast and the chicken-flavored soup, it became a bit too chicken-flavored towards the end. The taste became a little consistent and slightly overwhelming. Thankfully, they provided dipping sauces that we could mix ourselves. For the side, we ordered the less commonly seen wave noodles, which can absorb more soup than regular noodles. As for drinks, besides the lemon winter melon slush, there was also a no-sugar Lishan fragrant oolong tea. The slush was a bit sweet, but quite good, and we finished with ice cream, feeling very full.

Overall, I felt that the environment, service, and dishes were all okay. It would be a nice place to visit when the weather is cold, but I would be careful not to order chicken again.
