大菜市包仔王乾麵滷味肉包

4.0
1 review

AI Spot Summary

🌟 Find a seat before ordering
🌟 Traditional lard mixed noodles are salty

"Dacai Market Baozi King" is located on Ximen Road Section 1 and was established in 1956. It's been passed down for three generations, carrying the aroma for over 60 years. It was originally located in Dacai Market (now Ximen Market) and moved out over 20 years ago. It is rumored to share the same roots as Minsheng Yimian.

You can park your scooter right at the entrance, but parking for cars is a bit challenging. There's a nearby parking lot called "Riyue Pavilion Ximen Health Parking Lot," which is about a 3-minute walk away, making things much more convenient.

The storefront of Dacai Market Baozi King is quite unusual; it's a spacious noodle shop with a big facade. Most places usually have a smaller size. The overall environment is spacious and tidy, with an open space that has air conditioning—not too cold and breezy. There are plenty of tables and chairs, but during meal times, it can get a bit crowded, and at times you may need to share larger round tables. You can see the cooking area right at the entrance, and once you find a seat, you can go directly to the counter to order. Side dishes can also be picked directly.

The menu at Dacai Market Baozi King includes: signature meat buns and dry noodles (specially made handcrafted noodles), soup noodles, wonton noodles, wonton soup, fish ball soup. The items are simple but represent traditional good flavors. The noodles are traditionally flavored with lard and meat slices, available in small and large bowls, priced from around 35 to 70.

Let's eat.
Dry noodles (small) $50.
The traditional old-school flavor, the noodles are seasoned with lard and soy sauce, topped with meat slices and green onions. The handmade noodles are chewy and have a strong texture, with the lard mixed with soy sauce providing a delicious salty flavor—a bowl of mildly fragrant and filling noodles.

Meat bun $30.
The meat bun has a thick skin, and the pork filling is firm and not greasy; the bun is quite tasty.

Braised snacks $Forgot XDDD
The braised snacks don’t have a strong sauce flavor; the shop drizzles soy sauce over them, making them a bit salty.

Review: It seems everyone compares it with Minsheng Yimian, but Tainan has many similar traditional lard noodles that are quite delicious. In the end, both the noodles and meat buns are worth a try.

Emphasis on meals: Lard mixed noodles are salty, and the big meat bun is pretty good.

Emphasis on environment: The old shop is spacious, but it can get crowded at peak times, and may require joining tables.

Emphasis on parking: Scooters can park at the entrance, cars can park in the parking lot.

Emphasis on toilets: Didn’t pay attention.

Emphasis on queueing: Very fast service, hardly any queue.

Emphasis on service: Average.

Emphasis on value for money: 🌟🌟🌟🌟
