I went to a friend's house to help take care of their cat, and while I was there, I wanted to check out if there were any good restaurants nearby to try. I saw that they had a sign outside saying no MSG, which piqued my curiosity to try it out.
Since it's close to a school, parking can be a bit difficult, so you have to walk a short distance. The overall space is somewhat messy, probably because they have pets, which gives off a certain smell. However, the hot pot was quite sincere; I was surprised by the amount of meat on the two large chicken legs. The hot pot ingredients only included rice blood cake, other than that there were enoki mushrooms, three clams, a lot of pumpkin, and cabbage. I ordered the spicy peeled chili chicken and was curious why the broth was particularly sweet. I found out that the restaurant added loofah to the soup base! No wonder it tasted much better compared to other places.
Additionally, they offered sour plum juice and plain water as beverages. I was pleasantly surprised by the sour plum juice because it was quite tasty, whereas most hot pot places usually offer winter melon tea or black tea. The sauces available included white vinegar, bean paste, and satay sauce, which you could take as you like.
Overall, this place is more suitable for takeout if you don’t want to be affected by the smell inside the restaurant; it’s a very simple little shop.
