The website of the restaurant proudly states: "Best Chinese Restaurant in Amsterdam-centre", eh, it really feels that way.
Easily accessible near Dam Square. It specializes in Sichuan cuisine, but also has dishes from all over the country. The shop assistants are probably all Chinese, so there is no problem in speaking Chinese. Order with tablet. I ordered three dishes and one soup, and each dish was more than enough to complement the meal.
The Flame Pineapple Duck will be heated over the pineapple when it is served. It is filled with sweet and sour duck meat, served with pineapple and onions, and is perfect for rice.
The fish with vine pepper and sea bass is very tender, a little spicy but not unpleasantly spicy. It is paired with enoki mushrooms and soup, which is perfect for rice.
The flavored eggplant is a bit stir-fried, and the texture remains fibrous rather than stewed. It is sweet and sour. Put the coriander aside and it is perfect for rice.
The wonton soup is very big, and after eating these relatively strong wontons, it tastes even more delicious when paired with a bowl of soup. No wonder grandma always says to order soup when eating.
This restaurant was recommended by a friend who works in the Netherlands. The price is a bit expensive but the taste is authentic and totally worth it.
