Burned by style on IG and decided to check out the store.

“Sanmu Tarpu タープ” is located in the East District of Chiayi, focusing on a camping theme and specializing in curry rice.

A stand-alone gray building designed as a camping space outdoors, with white stones covering the ground, stainless steel barbecue grills, and camping chairs. The interior is arranged in a rectangular layout with an overall gray metallic tone. The large floor-to-ceiling windows and the skylight provide excellent lighting. One side features various camping chairs and tables, while the other side has metal dining tables. Even the utensils are made of camping-grade stainless steel (a bit heavier), creating an immersive atmosphere!
(The camping chair area truly replicates the feeling of being in a campsite; if comfort is a priority, they might want to install regular dining tables on the other side.)

The menu includes curry rice, desserts, drinks, and fried foods.

Pork Cutlet Curry 💰220
The pork cutlet is crispy and has a good chew, but the curry itself is quite ordinary and lacks a surprising element.

Outdoor Chicken White Soup 💰80
We all felt that the flavor was as bland as water, with a hint of pepper; surprisingly, it had a sharp taste at the moment, but I think it does reflect the camping experience well—having hot soup while camping is indeed comforting.

Honey Lemon Sparkling Soda 💰100
The drinks are all set at a fixed sweetness level, with a large capacity of 700cc. However, I personally feel this one might not have been mixed well, as it tasted like very mild flavored sparkling water—not particularly enjoyable.

Passionfruit Mango Sparkling Soda 💰100

Thoughts: The atmosphere is outstanding, the curry is average, and the soup lacks depth.

If you value the food: the fried items are good, the curry is average, and the soup could be improved.

If you value the environment: it’s exceptional with a fully immersive atmosphere.

If you care about parking: motorbikes can park at the entrance; cars should find a spot nearby.

If you care about the restroom: separate restrooms for men and women.

If you care about waiting times: quick service, almost no wait.

If you value service: the service is quite good.
