This time I visited "Birdie Cafe" on Lianpu Street in Taoyuan, which is a very special pet-friendly coffee shop specifically targeting "pet birds." The café’s star bird is an adorable cockatiel named Mugi, a lively little baby with expressive features that jumps around you, providing a super healing experience.
One of the biggest features of the café is that you can bring your own parrot, and they provide an exclusive "Birdie Buffet," where you can order a mix of grain feeds for your feathered friends, including options like corn kernels, millet, and sunflower seeds, among various grains to choose from. Watching the birds happily peck at their food will make you want to keep snapping photos.
In addition to the birds' enjoyment, the drinks served to people also meet a certain standard. Personally, I love their matcha series, especially the matcha latte and matcha milk cap. The tea flavor is strong without being bitter, and it pairs smoothly with milk or the creamy milk cap. My wife, on the other hand, prefers their chocolate series; whether it's the chocolate latte or the milk cap version, she finds them very satisfying, with just the right amount of sweetness and a rich cocoa flavor.
There’s a large bird playground in the basement, like a secret garden for the birds, featuring various climbing frames, jumping platforms, and interactive toys, allowing the birds to wind down and have fun. However, the café has set dining time rules, so be sure to keep track of time to avoid letting your bird play too wildly and forgetting to go home.
Overall, "Birdie Cafe" is a themed space that's not only suitable for bird lovers to connect but also for friends who simply want to come and see the cute birds. It's a delightful little world where people can enjoy their drinks and birds can have fun.
