🚩 Delicious Japanese Set Meals Next to Cathay General Hospital in Taipei
The Arts Department Sushi - Daan Branch is located next to Cathay General Hospital in the Eastern District of Taipei City. The nearest MRT station is Xinyi Anhe Station, about an 8-minute walk away. There are a few motorcycle parking spots in front of the store, making transportation relatively convenient.
Inside, there are plenty of seats, divided into regular tables and chairs as well as a sofa seating area. Guests are seated by the staff upon entering. The interior decor features a wood and rice brown color scheme, with windows on both sides that provide decent lighting during lunch hours. The space is large, and the air conditioning is quite strong.
To order, customers scan the QR code on the wall with their mobile phones. Payment is done after the meal, and only cash and credit cards are accepted; mobile payments are not available. Please note that dining in requires a minimum spend of $100 per person (to use the drink machine), and there is an additional 5% cleaning fee.
After about 10 minutes of waiting, my meal was served. Today, I ordered:
Teriyaki Boneless Chicken Thigh Set Meal: The set meals come with a main dish, shredded cabbage, two side dishes, white rice, and miso soup. The portion of chicken thigh meat is not very large, but the skin is nicely grilled, the meat is tender, and the sauce complements it well. The shredded cabbage is dressed with a tangy sauce, and both the side dishes and soup were acceptable.
In terms of portion size, the price of the set meals is not the best value. However, considering the overall quality of the meal and the ambiance, this restaurant is quite good for this area, so I can recommend it.
