Hidden gem of no-menu Japanese cuisine in Hokuto! Experience the ultimate sense of harmony with fine water, rice, and ingredients!
The restaurant we were invited to for the company dinner is located in the villa and cabin area of Hokuto City, which has a cluster of unique restaurants.
Although it's in a somewhat remote location, it is said to be difficult to make reservations, and after dining there, we immediately understood why!
The basic course price per person here is 8,800 yen, and drinks such as tea and alcohol are charged separately. Each of us had at least two drinks, and the final average price was just over 10,000 yen.
All the dishes are prepared on-site by a young chef, who carefully introduces the ingredients and cooking methods after serving. You'll also notice that the kitchen and tableware are uniquely crafted, with many items specially ordered from artisans across Japan!
Japanese cuisine places great importance on showcasing the original flavors of the ingredients, so when the ingredients themselves are delicious, it greatly enhances the overall quality and tastiness! The surrounding area of Hokuto City already has many excellent agricultural products, combined with specially selected seafood, making comparable dishes in Tokyo likely cost at least 15,000 yen or more!
If you have the opportunity to drive around, I highly recommend reserving at this restaurant; you can enjoy high-end sushi-style Japanese cuisine without spending a fortune!
