🍑 Bringing "fruit-like coffee" to more neighbors! A coffee bar featuring selected coffee beans from various roasters ☕️
This time, we come to Honmyoji in Yokohama, which is conveniently located with stations on both the Yokohama subway and the Keikyu line. This coffee bar is situated in the arcade shopping street between two stations, so rain isn't a big concern.
Opened in August 2024, the young owner, Mr. Hyakuzaki, is a local Yokohama resident. He felt it was a pity that Yokohama, which has a long-standing coffee history in Japan, did not have a particularly well-developed coffee culture. Before the pandemic, he started hosting the "Yokohama Coffee Festival," and this year he officially opened a coffee bar.
The coffee bar offers carefully selected coffee beans from roasters around the world, with both hand-brewed coffee and espresso available. They also serve craft cola, lemonade, and various non-caffeinated and alcoholic beverages. Although the menu isn't extensive, it covers all the essentials, and each item has been thoughtfully guided by experts.
This time, I ordered the "Peach Coffee," which is made by blending coffee with fresh peach juice, resulting in a slightly smoothie-like texture with bits of peach flesh, making it wonderfully sweet and refreshing!
While sitting in the store, I noticed many guests ordering coffee soft serve ice cream, and I want to try that next time.
The manager and staff really like Taiwan, and on that day, the shop was also trying out coffee beans from Taiwanese suppliers. Everyone is welcome to come check it out when they have the chance!
