I finally got to visit the udon shop that I've been curious about for a long time! ✨

The shop is called Maruyoshi Seimenjo, and it's located very close to Hotoike Station on the Hankyu Takarazuka Line. 🚃

It's a popular place that is often featured in the media, and there can be a line during lunchtime!‼️

Last year, my favorite band, BUMP OF CHICKEN, visited the shop, and I thought I absolutely had to go!‼️

The restaurant has counter seats and table seats, and I happened to go at a time when a seat where BUMP sat was available. 🥰

I had the "Niku Kamatama Udon" (beef-topped udon) 🐮🥚

How to eat Niku Kamatama Udon 🐮

  2. Sip one noodle to experience the aroma of 100% domestic wheat.
  3. Pour the dipping sauce over the noodles and slurp to savor the umami.
  4. Eat just one slice of the beef to truly taste its richness.
  5. Wrap the beef around the noodles and eat.
  6. Then, at your preferred timing, add lemon or...
  7. Break the egg yolk and enjoy.
  8. Lastly, a free bite of rice comes with your meal, so if you can eat it, please ask the staff.

By sipping just one noodle, I could feel the aroma of 100% domestic wheat. The noodles were chewy and salty, and they were super delicious just as they were. 🥰

Pouring the dipping sauce over the noodles made them even tastier, as the rich broth blended beautifully with the noodles. 🥰

The beef slice was tender and incredibly tasty. 🐮

Wrapping the beef around the noodles was delightful, as the broth soaked into the beef, making it delicious. 🐮

Then, at my preferred timing, I added lemon and broke the egg yolk. Mixing the two created a rich flavor that coated the noodles beautifully—it was so delicious! 🍋🥚 The warmth of the noodles and the slightly set yolk made it enjoyable. 🥚 I also drizzled a lot of sauce over the beef, and it was wonderful! 🐮

For the bite of rice, it was sprinkled with broth powder. 🐟 I mixed it with the egg and broth. 🥚 It felt like a luxurious egg over rice, and the broth was so tasty that I finished it in no time! 🍚

I was so happy to enjoy every bite until the end. 🥰

There are many other menu items and tempting tempura options, and I definitely want to go back to this wonderful shop! ✨
