📍Location: Shanghai, China
This restaurant is the only one not on our list during this trip to Shanghai. We randomly chose it because we were tired after shopping near Wukang Building, but I ended up giving it a 5-star rating 🌟. Initially, I wondered if I was being too generous, but after thinking about it, I realized there really isn’t much to criticize.
It could be that at the hottest and most exhausting moment, it provided us with a great place to take a break along with delicious food, so I have a very good impression of this Jamaican coffee place.
This time, we ordered:
Avocado Ham Soft Boiled Egg Toast (¥59)
The combination of avocado and poached egg is quite common, but I saw prosciutto added on top for the first time. The overall combination is really delicious! There was a lot of avocado, which was a pre-seasoned avocado salad, paired with the runny yolk of the poached egg, which was very tasty. Plus, the prosciutto added a different flavor. When you get tired of the richness, the fresh lettuce on the side helps cleanse your palate. I recommend this for those who like avocado and prosciutto.
Spicy Tomato Egg (¥58)
This is a baked spicy tomato meat sauce with Tabasco, which also goes very well with French bread. This dish is on the heavier side, leaning towards a sour and spicy flavor. On hot days, it’s nice to eat something with bold flavors to stimulate the appetite, so I recommend this one too.
Latte (L, ¥32)
This has a strong milk flavor; it's an average-tasting latte!
Carrot Apple Juice (L, ¥38)
I originally ordered a mixed juice, but what was delivered was entirely carrot-colored, which surprised me 🤯 as it was another drink item on the menu. I usually don’t prefer things that taste too much like carrot, but it actually tasted surprisingly smooth, almost like apple juice, not at all as scary as it looked 😝. Carrot and apple do make a kind of mixed juice, right? This name is truly versatile; you can throw in any vegetable or fruit. On a hot day, it’s refreshing, cooling, and healthy. I highly recommend it 👍.
As for the environment, the first floor looks like it has limited seating, but the second floor is very spacious with many comfortable seats, and the air conditioning is strong; there were many patrons chatting or working here.
Overall, the food is refined and delicious, of a certain standard, the drinks are tasty, and the service was quick. The store is located in a prime shopping area, making it perfect for resting and dining or having afternoon tea when you’re tired from shopping. There are no time limits for dining, and given all these advantages, I give it 5 stars 🌟 and recommend it to everyone.
