🍜Menya Sho
It's a ramen shop near the Aozi Di Station, convenient for the light rail but difficult to park. I visited on a weekday at 8 PM and still had to wait for more than ten minutes; business is very good.
Menya Sho specializes in a soy sauce base, with a chicken bone broth and a rich pork bone soup. When ordering, you can choose the noodle firmness and soup saltiness (Taiwanese style or Japanese style). This time, I ordered the clear broth chashu noodles (medium firmness, Japanese style). The clear broth has a hint of bonito flavor, paired with the sweetness of soy sauce and the aroma of pepper, overall the flavor is rich and delicious. However, the Japanese style tends to be quite salty, so I recommend those who prefer lighter flavors start with the Taiwanese style. The chashu is primarily made of lean meat, cut thin but very chewy, and the portion is enough to cover the entire bowl, allowing you to enjoy a piece of chashu with every bite of noodles, which is very satisfying. The noodles are of the type that absorbs the broth, and personally, I feel the regular firmness is just right. The shop also offers free extra noodles once, so you won't have a problem with not getting enough to eat.
