Marugame Seimen is a new brand that will set up at the New Moon Plaza by the end of 2024. It's been so long since I last ate at this restaurant that I can't remember when it was, but it was quite crowded when it just opened, and I finally got the chance to go and try it after the crowds died down.

The dining process involves ordering at the counter. After ordering your desired noodles, you continue moving forward along the counter to select various fried items (you take these yourself) and fresh vegetables for oden (which you request from the staff) as add-ons. After getting everything, the checkout area is at the end of the line. After checking out, there's a platform where you can grab utensils and napkins, and you can also self-serve green onions and condiments.

The restaurant's seating is open, and you find your own place. After finishing your meal, you need to return your plates and trash to the designated area.

As for the meal, I ordered the beef curry udon, which had a rich curry flavor and was on the drier side. By the end, the soup was a bit too strong. The spicy chicken white broth udon was a little spicy; I thought the soup was quite good, and it had plentiful toppings. I also added a soft-boiled egg, which paired well with the noodles. Both types of udon were quite chewy, although I got some fried shrimp that was unfortunately a bit cold.

Overall, considering the taste and the price, I felt it was quite a good deal. There are also many options for dishes and sides, but the cleanliness of the seating area could use some attention.
